Joe Fresh Goods has provided the perfect opportunity to show the Obama family a heart warming appreciation by rocking his new collections.
The graphic clothing designer recently launched the Thank You Obama line, which features pieces ranging from a No. 44 basketball jersey—a reference to the 44th POTUS, Barack Obama —a Thank You Michelle long-sleeve tee, and a graffiti-inspired white long-sleeve shirt that highlights the couple’s wedding date.
“With this project, I wanted to timestamp a period in my life where I felt like I can do whatever I wanted to do and be whatever I wanted to be,” Joe Fresh Goods explains on his website. “The night Obama won his first term gave me so much hope, especially and most importantly as a black man. I decided to make a collection saying ‘thank you’ and give me something to smile at every now and then when I look in the closet.”
The line also includes a ” Malia” T-shirt that uses the “crimson” color of Harvard University, which the 18-year-old is set to attend in the fall, a plain black hoodie with the “Thank You Obama” mantra, and a T-shirt that has a headshot of the former president, with a crown on his head.
On Friday, the graphic clothing designer one- upped himself by revealing a partnership with Chance the Rapper, who models pieces from the collection in new images.
